Panic Attack Symptoms
Look through the list below to find out if you are experiencing
the Signs and Symptoms that cause Panic Attacks and Anxiety Disorders.
This list in not all enclusive but should give you enough information to decide
if you are experiencing panic or anxiety attacks.
A panic attack is usually a short or isolated period of intense fear or
discomfort
that is accompanied by one or more of the following symptoms:
-
Palpitations
-
Sweating
-
Trembling or shaking
-
Shortness of breath or smothering
-
Feelings of choking
-
Chest pain or discomfort
-
Nausea or abdominal distress
-
Dizziness or light-headedness
-
Pins and needles
-
Diarrhea
-
Dry mouth
-
Headache
-
Chills or hot flushes
There are two types of panic attacks:
1) Spontaneous Panic Attacks - Sometimes referred
to as (un-cued). This type of attack is not associated with any specific situation or trigger and appears to come
'out of nowhere'. These panic attacks can occur during periods of relaxation or when you’re sleeping.
2) Situational Panic Attacks – Commonly referred to
as (cued). This Type of attack can happen either in anticipation of a situation or in a situation where an attack
has previously been experienced. Usually the symptoms become apparent as one enters the situation.
I think it is important to mention here that if you find that you are
experiencing one or more of these symptoms above that you immediately make an appointment to see your
doctor.
You need to make sure that there is not any “Physical” reason for you experiencing these symptoms. Remember that
Panic Attacks and Anxiety are “Mental” issues that need to be addressed and not physical.
Example: If you are experiencing “Chest Pain” or “Discomfort” you need to make sure you don’t
have any physical problems with your heart.
Here Are Some Of The Most Common Fears
One May Have Resulting From Panic Attack Symptoms.
Losing
Control
One of the biggest fears one has is “Losing Control of
Yourself”.
When a panic attack comes on a person they feel as though they are losing
control of themselves. The fear is so strong that they can’t stop it or make it go away. This feeling can last for
just a few minutes or in some cases hours.
You start asking yourself, “Am I having a heart attack”? Or “Will I pass out in public”? You may have a sense that
you are out of touch with reality for a period of time. Which then escalates in your mind to “Am I going
crazy”?
“Am I Having a Heart
Attack?”
Another big fear people have is that they are having a heart
attack.
The sweating, shortness of breath, chest pain or discomfort, are symptoms that most of us associate with a person
having a heart attack. So, this is a natural thought process and should be checked by your personal or family
physician.
Keep this in mind; your physician’s expertise is probably in the body’s physical realm and not the mental. So, what
you are ruling out here is that there are no physical reasons for your chest pain or discomfort and the associating
symptoms.
You’re physician may not be trained in mental health, so if not, you should ask
for a referral to a mental specialist.
When I experienced my panic attacks, this was the path that I took first off. I have a history of
heart related problems in my family.
I found that my heart was just fine, and then went to see the referred mental specialist. For me,
the mental specialist helped by identifying that, yes, I was experiencing panic attacks.
But for me, the medications that were prescribed did not work for me. There were just too many side
effects that I just couldn’t live with. In fact, for me, these side effects were almost as bad as the panic
attacks.
What I found was a natural approach to relieve and eventually get rid of my panic attacks for good. Click on the
banner below to find out what worked for me.

Keep in mind that just because this worked for me, doesn’t mean it will work for
everyone. We are all different in what makes us who we are both mentally and physically.
Additionally, it was no magic pill either. I had to work at and practice what I was being taught. But in just 6
days, I no longer experienced any panic or anxiety attacks.
Oh, one last thing, this method was far cheaper than the doctors and medications and came with a 60 day guarantee.
If it didn’t help me, I got my money back. My doctor never offered me that.
I really hope that this informtion has been helpful to you.
